Laus Polyphoniae is the Antwerp edition of Flanders Festival.  This festival centred on early music and polyphony has taken place during the last weeks of August every year since 1994. Each time, a theme or composer is chosen as a focal point for the program with a highlighted ensemble in residence performing several concerts connected to the annual theme. Compared to other European early music festivals, there is a lot of musicological research done beforehand, which also translates itself in a large numer of introductions, lectures and discussions during the festival.
