Our AMISd'AMUZ are three exceptionally talented musicians. During the next three seasons, these friends of the house will get carte blanche to express their views on music, art and creation. AMUZ follows their international artistic careers closely.
Claire Chevallier is a pianist. Josse De Pauw And Wayn Traub are soulmates to this French musician with a soft spot for Erik Satie and Francis Poulenc. She has studied the historical background, the evolution in construction and maintenance of historical keyboards. She has a particular interest in several other art disciplines. www.clairechevallier.com
Jurgen De bruyn is a lutenist. Zefiro Torna is his child, although this does not prevent him from performing with Chris Joris, Les Ballets C de la B and NTGent. A sincere musician, always looking for new ways to discover, to unite and to translate stories, traditions and cultures, he is also endowed with a talent for improvisation.
Thomas Baeté plays the vielle and the viol. He has studies with Wieland Kuijken, Jordi Savall and Paolo Pandolfo. Today, this young Flemish artist is an international performer alongside Mala Punica, La Roza Enflorese, graindelavoix, La Folata, La Caccia and Capilla Flamenca. Music from the Ars Nova, Ars Subtilior, Spanish renaissance and early baroque is his passion.
